I have recently run a fresh factory reset of my Spectre x360 to boost performance. Unfortunately, it also made the 2-in-1 lose many of the functionalities of the tablet mode.
Specifically, it does not allow for any change of the screen rotate option. Screen lock is on at a default and is completely greyed out. In addition, tablet mode and flipping the screen into a tablet form do not lock the keyboard or trackpad. Essentially, the computer has lost its tablet functionalities.
To start off, the likely questions:
My model is a N1R85UA#ABA.
I have tried to restart. I have done a reset of Windows. I have tried enabling screen rotation through regedit (altering the Windows Latest Version AutoRotate setting to 1). I have tried disconncting the keyboard. I have tried manually rotating my screen to enable screen rotation. I have tried using the control panel to access and change the screenlock. I have tried using HP Graphics Controls to enable screen rotation.
As these are all stock, copy and paste solutions, please do not give them to me. I have tried them all.
I have already directly found the source of my issue. During my initial reset to optimize my system, I found that I have lost a driver: Intel Integrated Sensor Solution. Of course, once my laptop started acting weird, I tried to download it again, using Windows driver update, Windows driver Legacy search update (it does not show up), Intel Driver Update Assistant, and by downloading the driver from HP's own support site. I tried downloading the driver the Intel site gave me when I entered my product code.
The HP support website gave me install exe files, and I have tried running two iterations of it.sp74158 and sp76166 are the ones that I have tried downloading. The download process all works, but even after everything is completed, Intel Integrated Sensor Solution is not downloaded as a driver to my computer; it does not show up in my device manager, and my screen lock is still not working. Just for reference, I am near certain that my issue is due to the lack of this driver.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi! @Hyeons1080, Welcome to HP forums.
I understand you have auto rotate issues with your laptop.
Don't worry I'll try to help you out.
Did you make any software or hardware changes on your PC?
Excellent description and a great diagnosis done. It is greatly appreciated.
As you mentioned your laptop will not switch to tablet mode automatically.
Try few steps recommended below.
You can try updating Intel Integrated Sensor Solution Driver and BIOS on your PC and check if that helps.
Update the Intel Integrated Sensor Solution Driver from this link. Click Here
Update the BIOS using this link. Click Here
Also, You can update other drivers on your PC using HP support assistant.

Also, try changing few settings:
Open Settings App and go to System > Display.
Find Orientation and choose Portrait from the menu.
Your device should automatically switch to portrait mode.
Go to Control Panel> Display>Change Display Settings and then make sure that the "Allow the screen to auto-rotate" is selected
Also, Uninstall the Device from Device Manager

Hi,
Thanks for the try, but none of the solutions above were effective. I do think I have found the source of the issue. The .msi file (Windows Installer Package) for the ISS drivers does not seem to be working properly.
The file I am talking about is "C:\ProgramData\Package Cache\{6725DB57-487E-42F9-B986-A3113872FE47}v3.0.4.1012\ISS_Drivers_x64.msi". It stops at "Gathering your Information" and does not proceed with installation.
If there is a way to force the installation process, perhaps it could work out. At any rate, the conventional solutions do not work. The core issue is that Integrated Sensor Solutions is not installing for some reason.

@Hyeons1080, Thanks for your quick response and time.
I appreciate your efforts in trying out the steps.
Try creating a new user account on your PC and install the drivers again and check if it helps.
Also, if nothing works try performing a system reset on your PC.
