Im having the same issues as some people did a few years ago. I have the hp spectre model ch-0011dx the battery stopped working one day, it wasn't bulging or overheating it just stopped working, I got a seemingly authentic replacement battery but it wasn't directly from hp so I was skeptical. That ended up not working after quite a while either it started to bulge through the bottom of the computer and managed to pop a screw out, now I'm trying to see if hp still sells the battery or knows of where to find an authentic one

Hi @Vsa1999

You only partially identified your laptop.

Take a closer look at the bottom of your laptop for the product name and number and post that in your next reply.

Method #1: If the notebook will boot into Windows, you can retrieve your Product Number by pressing Fn + Esc key.

Method #2: Press the power button and immediately tap the F10 key to invoke the BIOS. In the Main section, you will find the Product number or Product ID. Post that in your next reply in your thread.

Method #3: Press the power button and immediately tap the F2 key.

Method #4: If powering on is not an option, take a look at the bottom of the laptop for the label with the product name and product number. Do not include the serial number of your HP product when you identify as it is not needed. For a desktop look at the rear for the label.

If your laptop has HP Hardware Diagnostics UEFI version 10.3.0.0, there is a System Information section that also has the Product ID.
We need that information, along with the installed Operating System information to help you.

Hello thank you, the product name is: hp spectre x360 convertible

model 15-cho11dx

ProdID: 2LV24UA#ABA

I’m not sure if the ProdID is the same as the product number but I can’t turn the computer on so if that not it, is there another way to find it?

when seatching always use genuine HP preceding the part number for the battery.

  • The search I did is below.   Only choose the battery that has the HP logo and the part number.
