Less than a month of owning my Spectre x360, charging became an issue. Had to plug/unplug the USB-C cable a few times before the laptop would start charging. After 3 months now, it's very unpredictable to the point where I give up after 5 mins and come back later or the next day.

What is the product number of your Spectre x360?
Hint: look on the bottom of your notebook for ProdID in tiny print. That is also the product number. Post it here in your thread

Try a reset of the computer's embedded controller. Turn the system off, disconnect all cables including the charger, then press and hold the power button for 15 seconds. Turn the system back on. At this point, just to clear up any issues with Windows I would tell Windows to Restart (which is a full reboot, unlike the fast restart that normally happens when you Shut Down and turn back on). Once Windows has restarted, reconnect your charger and any other devices.
Has that helped at all?

Thanks for the suggestions guys!
i managed to speak to samaresh on chat support who helped me update my BIOS and another controller of some sort.
So far, that's done the trick. Going to monitor it over the next week before confirming this is fixed.

Hopefully that is a permanent fix. This is the sort of area when any system firmware / BIOS update is worth applying, as it may well straighten out any embedded controller problems.
I'm curious as to what the other update was. If it was Intel Management Engine, that's probably more about security aspects than anything else. If it was Thunderbolt drivers and/or firmware, that is potentially relevant here but only if you have a Thunderbolt device you connect to your computer.
Enjoy your updated - and hopefully now problem free - computer.
