Hello everyone,
So a few days ago I got myself the HP Spectre x360 13-ae509TU Flip 2in1 Laptop 13.3" 4K Touchscreen Intel i7-8550U 16GB 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD NO-DVD Win10Home 64bit
When i first turned on my laptop it started producing tremendous fan noise and the when i touched the top bar above the keyboard it was blaring hot- unusual I thought.
So I gave it some rest and then turned it on a few hours later- the same problem again. I waited till the next day to open my chrome, and the top area above the keyboard was extremely hot with alot of fan noise- Oh boy!
Whenever I do something simple eg- open chrome, play a video on youtube etc the laptop gets exxxxtreeeemly hot and produce fan noises along with it. Even if i simply turn my laptop into tablet mode it produces even more heat- It's only been 2-3 days since I've gotten this laptop and I'm so saddened by this fact.
Will be patiently waiting on an answer to overcome this problem as soon as I can because school will be starting soon here! Thank you for reading guys 😞

While that doesn't sound good hopefully it is Windows Update working hard in the background or HP Support Assistant scanning for updates. Open Windows update and see if anything is going on there. Manually check until no updates left. Click the notifications icon in the far right of taskbar, click All Settings then Update and Security.

If you purchased it locally I would take it back and ask for an exchange. If not- open HP Support Assistant in your Start menu and look at top for Support tab. This will give you direct contact with Spectre support.
