Hello, today I bought a Samsung 990 PRO 2 TB SSD drive. I disassembled the laptop, moved the original drive after buying the laptop to slot no. 2, so it was there from the beginning, so I put the new drive in slot no. 1. Before replacing it, I checked the speed of the original 512 GB drive (in slot 2), which was added to the laptop, and the read was about 5000 MB/s and the write was about 3500 MB/s (I did the test with the As ssd program on a 5 GB file). After inserting the drive, installing a fresh Windows 11 system and all updates, I tested the speed of the new drive and to my surprise, the maximum results I got were about 3500 MB/s write and read... I saw tests of this drive on the Internet and I know that it achieves much better results, even 2 times greater. I installed the system on the old 512 GB drive, installed the Samsung SSD Magician software and it confirmed that I had the latest drive software. The drive in device manager is listed as NVMe drive 990 pro 2TB in the drives category. Microsoft driver (I tried updating it, but the system confirmed it was up to date). If the old drive supported such high speeds, why can't the new one?
