Common problems for Battery

I spilled water on the keyboard of a Pavillion laptop, but it seemed to all sort of coagulate around the keys (for lack of better term), and didn't seem like any got in the sides of the keys to enter the computer. Some also got on the bottom of the laptop in/on the speaker grill and I could see water in the little speaker holes, but I picked it up and wiped all the water up over the whole laptop immediately. Everything seemed okay, so I continued using it for another 30 minutes and then the whole thing went dead except for the power button would blink white every 10 seconds. I assumed the worst and thought it was fried, so I held it near a space heater to dry for a little bit and then left it facing down to drain any excess, and after about 20 min it turned back on by itself. I don't know if it ever fully powered down to begin with though because the power light was still blinking the whole time it was dead.

I just want to know if I should leave it off for a while now, or if it's okay to use since it's working again?

I'm kind of afraid to turn it off now thinking it might not turn back on.

Note:

The AC cord was still connected for the 30 min I used it after the water spill, but I  unplugged it immediately when it went dead and has been unplugged since. There is no other external battery that can be removed on this laptop. The battery pack is internal.

Personally, I would disassemble the notebook,  inspect it for remaining moisture and obvious component damage if there is any.

With the system board removed you can use isopropyl alcohol, with a spray bottle, to clean and remove any remaining liquid.

Let it air dry before reassembling the notebok.

If that sounds like a task you would not dare to perform, take it to a notebook shop for the inspection and make sure that you let them know what happened.

Until you take it to be inspected, put a towel on a edge of table or desk, open the notebook and place the notebook keyboard side down onto the towel.
