Pavilion 15 - ck029nl
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi all,

I’m about to buy a Pavilion 15-ck029nl (Intel i7-8550U, 16 GB of ram, 1TB hdd) and my intent is to add an ssd in order to install there al least the os and a copule of heavy programs.

Now the question is if that is possibile and, if so, which one should i get?

Thanks in advance

Yes you can have both. There is an M.2 slot that can accept either a SATA M.2 disk or a PCIe/NVME disk and of those you want the latter as they are 4 or 5 times faster. Here is what you see when you remove the back cover. Hard drive is in lower left and M.2 is in upper left:

hard drive red, M.2 bluehard drive red, M.2 blue

First of all thanks for the quick reply, but as a noob I still can’t understand a couple of things.

This mean that I can only replace the hdd with one of this M.2 ssd or the pic show the ssd can be added in order to work with the hdd?

Which SSD did you finally get?

I have put Intel 760p into a similar Pavilion 15-ck model but it does not work
