Hey guys,

I’m currently trying to upgrade from an HDD to an SSD, however I wasn’t sure whether to get a SATA SSD, or try to go for that M2 NVMe SSD since I heard that is slightly better. My concern is that I am not sure if my laptop has an NVMe slot. I tried looking online but failed to find that piece of information. Could someone help me out with this? And am I making the right move here?  Also what brand of SSD do you guys recommend?

Here's the information of my laptop:-

Model- Hp pavilion series 15 dw1008ca.

Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!

Hi:

Below is the link to the parts list for your notebook.

HP PartSurfer

The battery part number and description is:

L11119-855
Assembly-battery 3C 41W 3.6A LI HT030

Unfortunately, I don't know where you can find a genuine HP battery for your notebook.

HP does not sell it.

HP Parts Store - HP Computer Parts - HP Printer Parts - Compaq Parts

You'd have to buy a generic battery from someplace like eBay or Amazon.

Search by the HP part number.

Amazon.ca : L11119-855

Thank you for responding.
I'm thinking to buy 1TB NVMe ssd for my series 15 model dw1008ca.

But Product manual is saying it will support 512GB NVMe for my model. Couldn't think of a reason why it won't support 1TB though.

Do u think, I should go for 1TB or just stick around with 500GB?

You're very welcome.

I'm thinking you will be fine too.

The drive capacities listed in the service manual are normally just what HP offered in the model series, not the maximum capacity supported.

Oh okay.

That make sense now.

By the way, Do you know any sites where I can order New Battery for my Hp pavilion 15dw1008ca?
I can't find it on HP sites, they are redirecting me to some other seller but they don't have it either.  I even searched here in local stores bit no luck.
It's so hard to find a right part this days.
