Your notebook's M.2 slot can support a PCIe Gen3x4 NVMe SSD.

 

The Intel specs for the weakest processor that could have come with your notebook shows the PCIe x revison is 3.0, which means any of the others are also PCIe x 3.0,

 

Intel® Core™ i5-8250U Processor (6M Cache, up to 3.40 GHz)
