Please  tell me which type  of ssd is compatible for my laptop

Hi:

 

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.

 

Maintenance and Service Guide HP Pavilion Notebook PC

 

If you look at chapter 1, pages 4 & 5 of the manual, it lists the supported drive types for the 15-bc400 model series.

 

According to the manual the M.2 slot supports SATA SSD's, but it also supports Intel Optane memory.

 

If the slot supports Optane memory, which requires and NVMe interface, then I would have to assume the M.2 slot would also take a standard NVMe storage drive too.
