Its specs

It has 256 GB PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD now. You can upgrade to 500GB or1TB or 2TB of compatible SSD drives such as

Hi again. So I finally bought the 1TB SSD and I want to do it myself.
My question is how do I load a windows OS onto the PC after changing to the new SSD
Also, how do I move files from the old SSD to the new one?
Thanks.

You will need some sort of external storage such as an external drive to back up your data from the original SSD. Then do a factory reset/hard reset, so your backup only has Windows and drivers, nothing else. Then take the entire drive backup as an image and use this image to restore in the new drive. Look up cloning software that will help.

Buy an external NVME SSD enclosure, and put your old drive into that. Then on another PC, download Clonezilla and use Rufus to create a bootable USB thumb drive with the ISO. Plug in the laptop, boot the laptop, and enter the UEFI settings. Temporarily disable SecureBoot, insert your Clonezilla USB drive and connect the NVME enclosure with your old SSD in it, save, reboot. Use the default options for Clonezilla until you reach the option to choose the 'source' drive - you want that to be your old SSD, and the 'destination' drive to be the 1TB internal drive. When asked, choose to have the laptop shutdown when the cloning has completed. Once you make it back to the laptop, disconnect the external drives, power it back on and enter the UEFI settings again, and re-enable SecureBoot, save, and reboot. Windows should load up just like it was on the old SSD. Check the drive size in Explorer - you may need to extend the partition - Drive Management in Windows allows this and it's easy.
And easier option that won't save your files - On another PC, just Google Download Windows 11. The top result should be from a Microsoft website. Download the Media Creation Tool from this website. Insert a USB drive and open the Media Creation Tool - follow the prompts. Once it's done, your USB drive will be wiped and turned into a Windows installer. Insert this drive into your laptop, plug in your laptop, and power it on - it should boot off the drive and begin the Windows 11 installation.
