I have an HP 15-bs152ni. According to the user manual it is supposed to support M.2 SSD. I have phoned HP support and according to them they concur. Yet, the motherboard has the solder joints for the connector, but no connector. What can I do?

Hi:
The only notebooks in the 15-bsxxx model series that have M.2 slots are those that already came with a M.2 drive from HP.
If you look at chapter 3, page 19 of the service manual, additional parts are required to add a M.2 SSD.

Since the M.2 slot only supports SATA M.2 drives, it would be a whole lot easier and cheaper for you to remove the 2.5" mechanical hard drive and replace it with a 2.5" SSD.
The 2.5" SATA SSD will perform just as well as a M.2 SATA SSD.
