Pavilion 15-bc201nl
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I’ve installed an SSD WD Blue 3D NAND Sata SSD M.2 2280 on my laptop Pavillion 15-bc201nl. I’ve transferred my operating system from my hdd to ssd and I want to boot windows from ssd. How do I configure my bios to boot windows from my SSD M.2 step-to-step?

Edit: My bios won't recognize my installed ssd and it's  up-to-date, but it's recognized in windows.

I've solved on my own this way:

Firstly I formatted the SSD as GPT, then I've moved the OS and my files to my SSD with this program: Acronis True Image WD Edition.

To boot Windows from my ssd, I solved like this:

In the BIOS system configuration settings, the uefi boot order shows only "OS boot Manager", while in the Boot Option Menu there were 2 Windows boot manager (The first one was the HDD and the second one was the SSD).

So I've firstly deleted the old EFI system partition (The HDD one) and then I've merged the other hdd partitions I had, with MiniTool Partition Wizard.

So, the system booted up from my SSD.

Anyway, thank you for your response.

Take out the hard drive. How exactly did you transfer the OS to the SSD? You have it installed in the slot to the left of the battery and the right of the memory? Some foks have had some luck just removing the SSD and reseating it but you should be able to force the system to boot from the SSD by removing the hard drive. Let us know if the SSD then shows up in the BIOS boot order. Others have success changing the boot mode from secure to legacy. How do you have the SSD formatted? As GUID or MBR?
