I have a 15.6-inch HP laptop that came with 237 GB. I have some games downloaded and I would like to download some more, but I do not have enough storage. I would like to add storage to my laptop, but I am not entirely sure how to do that. I believe that I need an SD card in order to upgrade my storage. I currently have 8 GB of RAM but that's really all I know. What model of SD card would be best for my laptop, or should I use a different approach entirely?

Actually Memory (RAM) and Storage (disk drive) are two different things. The following specs could be your machine

             https://support.hp.com/ie-en/document/c07914557

It has

256 GB PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD

or  237 GB as you can see. You can replace it with a 1TB or 2TB M.2 NVMe SSD such as

          https://www.samsung.com/au/memory-storage/nvme-ssd/970-evo-plus-nvme-m-2-ssd-1tb-mz-v7s1t0bw/

You can use SD card up to 2TB for more games. If you wish, the popular brand is SanDisk such as

             https://cplonline.com.au/sandisk-sdsdxxd-1t00-gn4in-1tb-extreme-pro-sdhc-and-sdxc-uhs-i-memory-card....

I would upgrade internal M.2 SSD, much better.

Regards.

Thank you so much! I got an M.2 SSD card and installed it to my motherboard. However, now when I try to turn on my computer, I’m getting a message that says “Boot Device Not Found.” I know I need to initialize and partition my new drive, then migrate Windows in order for my data to be saved. I’m wondering if I possibly didn’t install the card correctly. Any ideas on what to do?
