HP Pavilion 14-bk004la
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I was wondering if you guys can help telling me if I can switch my 1TB HD internal storage to a SSD, as well as integrating another 8GB of RAM? (mine has 8GB RAM).

If that´s the case, is there any specific memory models I have to buy?

Also, my laptop model is a "HP Pavilion 14-bk004la" but when you look it up in the "System Info. (about the laptop)", it says it is a "14-bk0xx". Which one it is exactly? Lol.

Thank you guys for your help. Hope to hear soon from you.

Thanks for taking an interest in the HP Support Forums! After reading your post I see that you want to know if you can install SSD harddrive and add another 8GB RAM in your HP notebook. I would like to help you out with this issue today

You can install only upto 512 GB SSD on your notebook and add another 8GM RAM as this product supports 2x8 GB RAM.

You refer page no: 37 and 1 in the service guide for more assistance:- https://hp.care/2LaELrp

Let me know if that helps.

Cheers.

Thanks a lot for the reply!

Can you tell me if there is a specific SSD memory card or model I should buy as well for the RAM memory cards?

Or how does that work? I´m new at this in upgrading my laptop´s specs.

Also, can you help telling me if there is an official HP Service Store in Cancun for doing the upgrades? I don´t want to loose the one year warranty I have for the laptop.

Thanks again, hope to hear soon from you.

Thanks for the reply.

I appreciate your time and effort.

Here is the part number of the SSD hard drive 763008-011  which you can order from HP Shopping website.

Here is the link:- https://hp.care/2GGxKQr

For more details regarding the local store, I request you to contact phone support.

If your product is Out of warranty then remember to choose the paid options to get the tech support number.

They might have multiple options to help you on this.

1) Click on this link - https://hp.care/2moMFSc

2) Click on "Continue as guest".

3) Enter the serial of your device.

4) Select the country from the drop-down.

5) Click on "Show Options".

Fill the web-form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you.

Keep me posted for any other assistance,

Cheers
