Yes, you can replace 1TB HDD with 2.5" SSD (1TB or 2TB) using standard 2.5" SSD's around such as

2TB:

1TB

Hi,

Just to add some info. You can replace the 2,5" HDD with a 2.5" SATA3 SSD of your desired capacity and brand. The best considered the Samsung 860 Evo.

Example:

https://www.amazon.in/Samsung-Internal-Solid-State-MZ-76E1T0BW/dp/B078DPCY3T/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=sam...

On page 49 of service manual you can see the steps to replace the drive:

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04642845

You will need to reinstall the OS which you can do with a clean install by creating a bootable pendrive with OS on it from Microsoft,

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

Hope it helps,

David
