Looking forward to see if your 265 GB (micro?) SD card works on it. If so, feel free to drop the Chinese link in the post Since i guess many people will be interested in it!

Can't help with 256GB SD but this thread has part numbers for both 32GB SDHC and 64GB SDXC cards that work.

Thanks Ohio, But I'm looking for a Texas-size storage boost, not Delaware... 😉

Thanks for the reply though

I have a SanDisk 64gb SDXC card working just fine.  I'd be curious to know what brand/model the 128 was and if the 256 worked.

Did you ever determine if the 256G works? If so I will follow suit. And where did you order from?

Ended up buying a 128GB with high speed read/write... the 128GB works like a charm, but just forget about high speed r/wr, buy it cheap/slow, won't matter. (Even though I contacted HP on hardware speed compatibility)

Only thing is it takes the laptop some time to turn off, no clue if that's because of the SD-card. Anyone else input on that?

What is the model number of your HP 11 Stream? Mine is HP 11-y020wm. I have been told by HP that the 32 GB SDHC card is the largest SD card that will work. Which 128 GB card are you using? Is it SDHC or SDXC?

Samsung 128 pro micro sd XC i think product code MB-MG128E. But in the meantime the laptop is home, got a surface, and microSD is running in that now. The HP is sold to a student.

I couldn't find much info on the expandable memory for the HP Stream 11 so I took a risk in getting a 512GB microSD card,  because 32GB is definitely not enough for me,  and it works very well. Now, all the apps, music, videos and files I download are stored in the microSD card and I have 0.5TB left to use.

I can only imagine your frustration.  I bought one of these against my better judgement.  [removed per Rules Of Participation] Whoever advised your school to purchase these created a nightmare for you and every parent and teacher.  It seems that there may be a solution if you Google far enough and spend the time doing the fixes - I certainly wouldn't want to be the one doing that for a whole school.  There can be no easy solution - wonder if it's worth putting your foot down and holding on for a refund!  Assuming the purchase was recent enough.  It truly is a farce.  Hope you can rope in the one who suggested these, to put in the man hours to get them set up and functioning.
