HP Envy 17
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi all

I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction re a replacement battery for my HP Envy 17 inch. Model number is 17-n107na. Full product number is N9Q47EA#ABU. I've seen a few third party one's that suggest they're for use with this computer but they're on Ebay so I'm dubious. I'd be grateful for any help you can offer.

[EDIT] I should have mentioned that I've used HP's automated battery testing system that's available on their website. After the test it states that I need a replacement battery but then forwards me to a page that says that no products are available. I'm guessing that means the genuine HP battery I need isn't available directly from HP. [/EDIT]

TIA,
Chris

This is the HP Part Number for the battery you need:

Battery (6-cell, 62-Wh, 2.8-Ah, Li-ion) 805095-001

HP will no longer carry this due to passage of time. eBay is actually a perfectly viable place to buy laptop batteries as all the major sellers operate there. You just need to pay attention to reputation. You can also find usually 3rd party batteries on amazon.com and as long as you buy from a Prime vendor you are going to be OK.

This would work:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-Genuine-HP-MC06-MC04-Battery-for-807231-001-804073-851-805095-001-806...

This is 3rd party aftermarket battery but a high-volume amazon prime seller and shipped from UK so will get to you quickly:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/XITAI-Replacement-804073-851-805095-001-806953-851/dp/B07K44FCQ7/ref=sr_1_1...
