HP Spectre X360 AP-001NX
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, I currently own the 15-inch version of Spectre X360 AP001NX (The one with the Skylake 6500U CPU.

Since this device has an active digitizer, I am looking for an active stylus to go along with it.

1) Is HP Active Stylus compatible with this device?

2) What is the battery life of the stylus? I had a beyond disappointing experience with a similar Dell Pen which was supposed to have a year-long battery life but ended up having 1 week worth battery life with 1-2 hours of daily use.

3) Would it work out of the box? Or do I need to install some sort of a driver?

Thanks  a lot in advance

Find your stylus in this document:

HP PCs - Touchscreen Compatibility with Pen and Stylus

Click open the "consumer" section, scroll down, match the "x" in the first column next to your computer (Spectre x360 15-ap0xx).  Scroll back up to find the stylus model.

The document is updated as new information becomes available.

Commentary

I cannot comment on stylus battery life -- mine still works. (I don't use it very often.)  When / If it becomes necessary, I will replace the standard triple AAA battery with an Energizer Ultimate lithium AAA.

In my experience, a compatible stylus interacts with the screen as soon as the computer is booted into Windows.  Of course, there is not much you can do with the stylus until you log into Windows.

The stylus "controls" for my x360 15 bl00x show up on the Taskbar - Click to open > adjust as available / desired.

Thanks for the reply. I have located the next to the model of my computer.

I will try that out and hope it works.
