HP Laptop 15-dw4xx
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello,

I have an HP Laptop 15-dw4xx (Product Number: 81K90EA#ABV) running Windows 11 version 24H2.

I’m facing a persistent Wi-Fi issue where the Realtek RTL8821CE adapter randomly disappears from the device list and usually shows the error **"This device cannot start. (Code 10)"**. When this happens, I have to restart the laptop to get the Wi-Fi working again.

I’ve previously received help from the HP Community regarding this issue. The recommended solution was to install the latest driver (2024.10.230.2) from HP’s official website, which I did. However, the problem still persists.

Details of the issue:
- The problem occurs with both my mobile hotspot and TP-Link home router.
- I’ve installed the latest driver (2024.10.230.2) from HP’s official website, but the issue still persists.
- I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the driver, but the problem has not been resolved.

I’m located in Iran and don’t have direct access to HP’s official support centers or warranty services. I would really appreciate any software-based solutions or advice from the HP community.

Thank you for your time and support.

Hello,

First of all, I would like to thank you for your helpful suggestion regarding the driver installation. Since I kept facing wireless network crashes with various drivers in Windows 11, I decided to change my operating system to **Windows 10** in hopes that the issue would be resolved. However, I find it quite surprising that despite my laptop being new and from **HP's 12th generation**, such issues are occurring. I am still testing to see if the problem is fully resolved, and I hope that the issue does not persist with this change. Thank you again for your assistance!

Best regards, Mehdi62
