HP Pavilion Laptop 14-bk0xx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I was looking for a suitable docking station with dual monitor output for my pavilion laptop 14-bk0xx.  Then, I purchased the USB-C Dock G4 from HP store, but the G4 cannot run my external display monitors when used with the pavilion. I installed the drivers again but no luck.

Then i searched through all the docking stations offered by HP store and realized none of them support the pavilion series ?! Is this true? Do you know a suitable docking station for pavilions?

Thanks for your help.

Cheers!

Your particular Pavilion notebook is an entry level model for consumers.

Since it does not have USB 3.1 Type-C or a display port it is not compatible with any docking product that I am aware of.

The closest you can come to a dock situation is to  use an HDMI cable to connect it to an LCD display with an HDMI input and then connnect a USB mouse and keyboard to the notebook's USB ports.

Thanks Erico, also for the advice.

Good to know. Maybe it's time to get a better notebook 😄

@Shafak

You're welcome.  I agree with you. It may be time to source something newer.
