Since the USB-C ports do not carry a native video signal you must use a dock that includes DisplayLink technology. This creates a video signal from an ordinary usb data connection. The bandwidth is not as good as if it were an Alt-DP video connection but is adequate for internet and video streaming. You also cannot power the laptop or charge the battery through the USB-C ports so do not need a charging dock.
