HP 14 inch Laptop PC 14-ep0000 (730S6AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

So, my brother has an HP Victus 16-D0000 laptop (2021 model) where he has a charger with a wattage of 200W. Then I have an HP 14-ep0000 laptop where my charger only has 45W wattage. I tried plugging my brother's laptop charger (victus 16) into my laptop because the plug port was the same, and the light indicator was on. But my question is, is this safe, can my brother's 200W laptop charger work for my laptop which only requires 45W, does HP have the technology to adjust the wattage needed?

Your laptop will only take the amount of wattage that is required to charge the battery.

There are electronic circuits on the system board that will prevent it from being a problem.

If you were to use a power adapter that supplied less than your laptop's required 45W, that would be a problem.

You would see a message on your laptop's display warning you about it.
