Support Battery Bypass Charging

Hello,

I own an HP Laptop 15-hr1004TU (CN1D5PA), and I wanted to know whether it supports battery bypass charging.

My question is whether, when the battery is fully charged and the charger is connected, the laptop runs directly from AC power without continuously charging and discharging the battery.

My laptop specifications are:

• Model: HP Laptop 15-hr1004TU (CN1D5PA)
• Processor: Intel Core Ultra 5 125H
• Graphics: Intel Arc Graphics (integrated)
• Memory: 24 GB DDR5-5600 (single 24 GB SODIMM)
• Storage: 1 TB NVMe SSD
• Operating System: Windows 11

I wouldn't say it support true bypass charging but there should be battery protection/charge management. In other words, the charger can power the system while the battery is full, but the battery may still remain part of the power path rather than being completely bypassed. 

So, It’s generally fine to keep the laptop plugged in at 100% for long periods and use it on battery only occasionally. That helps reduce battery cycle wear. Although it’s still good to let the battery discharge sometimes but not too frequently. 

And avoid keeping the laptop hot as I have seen some people using laptop on bed which can heat battery and other components.
