Hello,
I'm thinking of upgrading my system with an SSD, I’ve a couple of doubts firstly which type of connector will my system support if I’m gonna make it my boot drive mini PCIe/mSATA or SATA SSD, secondly what’s the maximum storage size I can use with it.
Please can someone answer these for me?

Service Manual:
This model which is several years old now, has several storage options. The mainstream option would be just to replace the 2.5 inch mechanical hard drive with a 2.5 inch SATA SSD. There would be no max capacity. 2 TB are commonly available and I have seen 4 TB models.
You could put a 42mm mSATA mSSD in the WWAN slot but they are not that easy to find and generally more expensive than a 2.5 inch SATA SSD and not any faster and even not quite as fast so nothing really to be gained by doing so.
