Hello,
I am using an HP EliteBook 840 G7 running Windows 11. Every time I turn on the laptop, I receive a white screen with a BIOS-related warning that says:
"Sure Start Recovery
HP Sure Start detected an unauthorized intrusion to the HP runtime system firmware executing out of main memory.
This could be an indication of an attempted attack on runtime firmware executing from main memory.
The repeated occurrence of this problem indicates a security concern that should not be ignored.
[520]"
I have already:
- Accessed the BIOS (version HP S70 Ver.01.19.0000, dated 24-11-2024)
- Disabled "Sure Start Boot Notification"
- Changed "Sure Start Security Event Policy" to "Log Event Only"
- Disabled "HP Sure Recover"
- Restored security settings to factory defaults
- Cleared TPM and secure boot settings
However, the warning still appears on every boot (even after formatting Windows), although it now disappears after 15 seconds.
This seems to be a BIOS firmware issue that I cannot resolve from BIOS settings alone.
Please help me permanently disable or fix this warning. I can provide the serial number and any additional information if needed.
Thank you.
