Hello HP Community,
I am reaching out in the hopes of getting some assistance with a serious issue I am experiencing with my HP Spectre x360 laptop. I purchased this laptop in December 2021, and despite taking great care of it, I recently discovered that the battery is swollen. This has resulted in the laptop not turning on or charging.
I contacted HP Support and followed all recommended troubleshooting steps, but the issue persists. To my dismay, I was informed that my laptop is no longer under warranty and was advised to seek repairs at Best Buy. However, given the severity of the issue and the potential safety hazards associated with a swollen battery, I believe this is a manufacturing defect that HP should address.
Additionally, HP Support claimed that the battery had passed its 4-year longevity, even though it has been less than 3 years since my purchase in December 2021. They also stated that my computer is considered "old" and thus not under their support. This discrepancy is concerning and further emphasizes the need for HP to address this issue.

Hi @Kislev
unfortunately if there is no warranty there is no replacement, the battery swelling is something that happens due to degradation of the cells and is not a security problem as indicated in the following link.
