I just noticed my HP Spectre x360 15 laptop will no longer sit flat on my desk and both sides of the bottom cover are warped and bulging. I use a wireless mouse and keyboard so didn't notice it until I moved the computer. The computer is always on a cooling pad with several fans.
I assume this is the result of a swollen battery as I've seen numerous other similar complaints. My question is how do I get this resolved? Are there different options to get this fixed? With so many similar complaints, why isn't the HP Spectre x360 15 part of the battery recall?

Welcome to the HP Community.
===============================================
"Fat" Battery / Bloated Battery / Swollen Battery – Sealed / Internal Battery
- Swollen battery might be hiding OR there might be evidence that the battery has inflated. For example, notebook case is warped, touchpad stops working, “odd” bulging near the keyboard.
- If the battery is in a swollen or bloated condition, the battery must be removed from the computer and replaced. There are no other remedies, tests, or useful options.
