Swollen battery Spectre x360 Convertible 15-ch011dx

My battery is swollen causing keyboard errors and a large gap in the case. I initiated a repair a few months ago, but it was going to take too long because I live in Alaska and would have to mail it off, but I fully homeschool 4 kids so I wasn't ready to be without my computer. They closed the repair case and said to do it when ready. Now I'm ready and I cannot reach anyone. I tried to do the process online to start a repair, but after I submit my info and a picture of the problem it pops up with "this service is unavailable right now." There is no other way to communicate with anyone. I really need to initiate this repair immediately so I can prep for the new school year. I need to be contacted by someone to coordinate this repair which I am PAYING FOR. I thought I was supposed to be able to talk to someone directly without paying $99 since it is a Spectre.

Please, HP, just let me set up my repair!!!!

My recommendation

- You can buy a battery replacement for HP

- For broken parts use Gorilla Super Glue Gel

Thank you for the information.  No one reputable will ship a loose battery to Alaska.  Also, I do not trust generic batteries. Too many unregulated knockoffs.

Did you know that HP itself buys batteries from different third-party manufacturers and the qualities differ ? Even HP original batteries swell up or break. They are just batteries and it depends on how you care / use them.
