I got the Pavilion power 15- cb0xx in 2017. It has been working fine ever since but recently I had frequent loud fan noises for a high interval of time. I looked up for a solution and decided to clean up my laptop fan. But as I disassembled my laptop, I found out that my battery had swollen. But when I run the HP battery check, I get a good status report. I am not close to any battery replacement center right now, so can I go along with the same battery? Or would it be better to use the laptop without battery (only plugged in). Also heard that HP had called in some around 2017 laptops for battery replacement. Is it the same issue?
