Elitebook 8770w Mobil Workstat
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

HP "Support Alert" email me critical updates info for the Touchpad(Synaptics) driver. Within the same email 2 versions of driver were included,

1. Synaptics Mouse Driver, ver. 19.0.19.63 Rev.A, dated: Aug 23, 2017

2. Synaptics Touchpad Driver, ver. 17.0.18.25 Rev.A, dated: Sep 05, 2017

Confusingly, the newer version with older date and the older version with newer date that makes me wondering which updaed driver to install or to install 1st?

The logical reason, the only mouse device on this Elitebook is the Synaptics Touchpad, for me is that on Aug 23, 2017 HP released new version(19.0.19.63) driver for update but later on an older version(17.0.18.25) was released again to make up issues in the newer version 19.0.19.63.

Can anybody help to settle the confusion on these drivers?

@Nooovaa

As you can see they are TWO different components. You can check them from the following link
