I wanted to ask the community a question. When the laptop starts it displays a system error sysfan (090b).After searching i found out that the fan in the cpu is damaged. The laptop is fine and if you press enter the system boots normally. But i wish tio change the damaged fan and i am wonder if i can change only the fan or i have to change the whole cooling system (heatsink and fan).Is this the correct fan ? I know the site is in greek because i live in greece but the photos should be informative
Hope you can help!

Welcome to the HP Forums 🙂 I would like to take a moment and thank you for using this forum, it is a great place to find answers. For you to have the best experience on the HP forum, you could also visit our HP Forums Guide for First Time Here? Learn How to Post and More. I see from your post that you are having issues with the system fan on your HP notebook. Don't worry I'll be glad to help you.
To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:
Did you try to update the bios and check again?
Does the computer randomly overheat, freeze or shut down?
Did this happen after a recent software or windows update?
This looks like a possible hardware failure, however, I would suggest you try these steps here before confirming this to be a hardware failure.
Let's start off by updating the Bios on your computer from our HP support website, using this link. Once done, restart the computer and check if it gets fixed.
If the issue persists, I would suggest here is to run an extensive system test from F2(Please capture the failure ID for further assistance).
For more details, please go through this support document for - HP Notebook PCs - System Fan (90b, 90f) Error Message on Startup
If the test fails then this clearly indicates a possible hardware failure with the fan.
I will share you a private message with details. Please watch your inbox for more information.
Let me know if this helps!
Have a great day ahead! 🙂

Thanks for taking time to reply.I have allready tried all the suggestions you mentioned and didn't help. Also i looked with a flash light and the fan which is visible through the ventilators is not spinning. So all i am asking is the fan that i mention in my post suitable? Can it be changed or the whole cooling system must be changed ?

I am responding on behalf of @Jeet_singh as he is out for the day. It is great to have you back and your patience is greatly appreciated.
I reviewed your conversation and understand that you want to replace the system fan on the computer as you are getting a system fan error on startup.
You need to replace both the system fan and the heat sink to resolve this issue.
I will not be able to tell you whether the fan you have listed in your first post is compatible by just looking at the picture. However, if the fans dimensions match with the fan installed on the computer then it should work.
NOTE: HP Doesn't recommend any upgrade/downgrade or replacement of any hardware parts or software that is bundled with the product. You can replace the parts at your own risk.
Hope that answers your question and you have a great day!

Thanks for taking time to reply to my question. The laptop anyway is out of warranty and i am an experienced computer techincian and i wanted to know if the fan replacement would do the trick or the whole cooling system replacement is required because the cost is raised. So based on your opinion changing only the fan should not fix the problem ? I have to buy a complete cooling system (although the only visual problem is that the fan is not spinning?)

It is great to have you back and your patience is greatly appreciated.
I absolutely agree with you and I would like to inform you that the error (90B) what you are getting is related to the system fan. You get that error when the system fan is not functioning correctly.
Hope that answers your question.
