Hi:
The failure code is indicating that hard drive 2 has failed and needs to be replaced.
The problem is...I don't know whether it is the 1 TB 3.5" mechanical hard drive, or the 128 GB 2.5" SSD.
So... you will have figure out which one is no good.
The easiest thing to do would be to disconnect the power cable from the 3.5" drive and turn on the PC.
If you still get the failure code, you will need to replace the 2.5" 128 GB SSD, and reinstall the operating system.
If the code goes away, and the PC works normally, you will have to replace the 3.5" mechanical hard drive.
If the 2.5" SSD is bad, you can install one having a larger storage capacity.
You are not required to replace it with another 128 GB 2.5" SSD.
Below is the link to the upgrading and servicing guide.
I can't seem to get it to open right now though.

Thank you for your very detailed description of what is wrong with my PC. However, can you explain more simply about how to check which drive may be faulty. Any pics or diagrams? And we are not having any issues at the current time and backup to OneDrive hourly so I feel confident about not losing my information if/when it just fails.
I am unable to find any local HP repair shops within 150 miles of me so I'd like to try and repair myself.
One other issue that has been going on for a bit now is the loud fan noise if I even touch the tower. If you know anything about that, it'd be cool
Thanks for all your expertise for those of us that are ignorant on the workings of these machines.

You're very welcome.
I see that the service manual is working again...
Upgrading and Servicing Guide (EMEA with shipping label) (hp.com)
If you look at page 9, there is an illustration of your PC with the side panel removed, and on the lower left side of the picture is the location of the drives.
Page 15 starts the disassembly procedure for the hard drives and ends on page 16.
Right now, all you need to do is to remove the side panel (steps 1, 2 & 3) and then in step 4, you just need to remove the cables that are connected to the larger 3.5" drive you see there.
Put it back together with the two cables removed, fire up the PC and see if you get the code.
If you do, eventually you will need to replace the smaller 2.5" solid state drive that contains the operating system.
If the code goes away, then you need to remove and replace the 3.5" drive that is giving you the code.
I hope that info is of help to you.
