Compaq nx6120
Microsoft Windows XP

RAM 768MB

HDD 60GB

My system hangs a lot and respond very slowly, I reloaded the OS to windows XP professional.

But still experience same issue.

At times, I will have to raise the system up or spin it before it will respond.

Need help.

A hanging system is nearly always due to a failing hard drive -- so why did you assume that reinstalling XP would do anything to fix this issue?

To check the drive you have to follow these steps:
1) Press Esc key repeatedly, several times a second, while rebooting the laptop. Do NOT hold the key down, just press it over and over.
2) Eventually, you will see an HP Startup Menu
3) Press the Function key for testing the hard drive (usually F2) and let it run.

I have run the HDD text, but the still hangs.

And now, when I start to restart or short down the system, it shows this error

That is known as a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) error and those are specific to each version of Windows, and none of the online diagnostic forums support XP anymore.  So, you are basically out of luck continuing to use such an old PC.
