Yes, i have. It works wonders. Also i cannot thank you enough for reassuring me the right knowledge to get the right cpu.

it's crazy how much potential for daily use old notebooks still have. It's perfect for browsing and watching movies with the built in optical cd disk drive.

Also, i know you probably wouldnt remember the discussion with cpu upgrades with NonSequitur777 and Ben085. But, Ben085 was my old name. NonSequitur777 said to put a t9900 in it.

Of course, i wouldn't blame NonSequitur777 because they didn't mention FSB and the chipset needed to run the T9900.

Most folks don't know about that subtle difference between the GL40 chipset and the GM45 chipset, so I'm pretty sure that some folks would have told you that a T9900 would work fine, but it can't.

I agree with old notebooks still having use today.

I have an older HP 6910p business-class notebook I upgraded to 8 GB of memory and a SSD.

It has a T7500 processor (it would also run a 9500), but it works good enough for me.

I installed W11 on it, but it has to stay at 23H2 because the processor is no longer supported for W11 24H2.

The AMD Radeon x2300 graphics won't work on W10, but it has no problem working on W11.

Go figure.

i just installed W11 on my HP-G62. It runs fine, and i am waiting for the new cpu to come in.
