HP EVNY X360 CONVERTIBLE 13-BD0XXX
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello HP Community!

Last December, I received my new HP ENVY X360 Convertible laptop with Thunderbolt 4.  I really enjoy using this laptop.  The screen brightness is a little more than required but It's still great nonetheless.  My only concern with the laptop, besides the shaky performance of the bio-metric scan, is the performance of the Thunderbolt port when connected to a USB docking station.  Initially, I purchased a HP USB Dock Y0K80AA#ABA, however this hardware didn't provide dual display without duplicating the same screen images in lieu of two different views.  In addition, that hardware didn't function well at all.  Half the time, I noticed that the HDMI port only works half of the time.  Back to my question, does my laptop have any performance limits on the Thunderbolt port?  I can't seem to get any USB docking station to show me two different views in lieu of duplicating the laptop view; and it doesn't seem to matter if I have two monitors connected to the laptop (all screen views are the same).  If this is a hardware limitation on the HP Envy series, a consumer should be able to discern that without reaching out to the HP Community.  Please advise.  Thank you in advance!

Can you return it and buy USB-C Gen 5 (5TW10UT#ABA). It is TRULY one cable solution for machines which have USB-C Gen 2 up port and with 65W charger.

I tested it on few HP machines, also on Dell machine.

Regards.
