HP Pavilion Gaming 15
Linux

Hi, i own a Pavilion Gaming 15 equipped at origin with Windows 10. I swapped all to linux arch and for business matters (GDPR) i need to encrypt my hard disk. This notebook is equipped with the Trusted Platform Module TPM 2.0 , required by Microsoft for Windows 10. Currently linux support for this version is lack, while it's possible to store luks key in the nvram of the 1.2 version. I'm asking if it's possible to downgrade the TPM firmware to version 1.2 as i read is possible for some other HP notebook. Thanks.

Hi, thanks for your reply. LUKS crypt is fillungo supported, the problem is to storie its keyfile in the TPM nvram. According to this wiki tpm 2.0 currently is not supported so se Need to going back ti 1.2... for some notebook HP released the firmware for going back!
