Pavillion 15ab030tx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Does HP Pavillion 15ab030tx come with a TPM chip? If yes, which version - 1.2 or 2.0? How do I enable it in BIOS? tpm.msc shows it could not find TPM. In BIOS -> Security, there are only 2 options (password-related). In the device manager, there is not category for security devices.

Mainly, I want to check eligibility for Windows 11 and the only requirement failure is TPM 2.0.

If I choose to install TPM separately, would my motherboard support this?It would be really helpful if someone can share the motherboard manual for this model.

Hi:

Your notebook won't be supported for W11 for more reasons than not having a TPM 2.0 chip.

Your notebook does not meet the minimum processor requirements to run W11.

Intel PC's have to have an Intel 8th gen core processor, and yours only has a 5th gen.

You cannot add a TPM to your notebook.

If your notebook has a TPM, you will see it in the device manager as shown in this screenshot.

It is highly unlikely that your notebook has a TPM.

I do not believe that HP started including TPM"s in their consumer class notebooks unless they had an Intel Skylake or newer processor.
