Hey so I have this problem where my TPM is not being shown. TPM is enabled in the BIOS Settings. When I search the tpm.msc prompt it show nothing but also says that its the 1.0 version? I also have the latest windows 11 25h2 and latest bios for my laptop but still nothing fixes it.

Hi @Ozan50,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
If your HP notebook is showing issues with the Trusted Platform Module (TPM), here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem:
Steps to Resolve Missing or Non-Functioning TPM
- Verify TPM Settings in BIOS:
- Since TPM is already enabled in your BIOS, double-check by restarting your computer and entering the BIOS setup (usually by pressing F10 during startup).
- Ensure that the TPM is set to "Available" or "Enabled" and "Activated".
- Check Device Manager:
- Open the Device Manager (you can do this by searching for it in the Start menu).
- Look for "Security Devices". If you see "Trusted Platform Module 1.0" listed, it confirms TPM is detected but may not be configured correctly.
- Try updating the drivers by right-clicking on "Trusted Platform Module 1.0" and selecting "Update driver".
- Update TPM Firmware:
- Even though you have the latest BIOS, check the HP Support website for any TPM firmware updates specific to your model.
- Even though you have the latest BIOS, check the HP Support website for any TPM firmware updates specific to your model.
- Clear TPM:
- Go to the BIOS setup and look for the option to "Clear TPM" (this might be under Security settings).
- Clearing the TPM will reset it, which might resolve configuration issues. Note: Clearing TPM will erase data stored in TPM, such as cryptographic keys.
- Enable TPM in Windows:
- Open the Run dialog by pressing Windows + R.
- Type gpedit.msc and press Enter to open the Group Policy Editor.
- Navigate to: Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > TPM Services.
- Ensure settings such as "Turn on TPM backup to Active Directory Domain Services" are set as appropriate for your system setup.
- Reinitialize TPM in Windows:
- Open the Control Panel and navigate to "Security and Maintenance".
- Click "Security" to expand and see TPM information.
- Use the "Clear TPM" option and follow the prompts.
- Check Windows Services:
- Open the Services app by searching for it in the Start menu.
- Ensure the "TPM Base Services" is running and set to Automatic.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have an amazing day!
