I don't get why my hp probook 455 g7 is missing the tpm option in the securities section on the bios yet I am on the latest bios version from April 2024. I am therefore unable to upgrade to windows 11 as the tpm is missing apparently. Windows does not detect any tpm, pc health check app says I can't upgrade to windows 11 because tpm is missing. And indeed, even in the bios there is no option to enable it. The amd psp 10 is shown in device manager security devices and not any other, security section but that doesn't help. Oh, and latest bios version is V1.17. The tpm.msc service shows no compatible tpm on my computer. Any help would be appreciated

Are you certain you have identified your laptop properly?
The ProBook 455 G7 laptop does have support and drivers provided for Windows 11 through build 24H2.
HP has produced and brought to market more than a thousand different models of notebooks and desktop PCs over the years.
Method #1: If the notebook will boot into Windows, you can retrieve your Product Number by pressing Fn + Esc key.
Method #2: Press the power button and immediately tap the F10 key to invoke the BIOS. In the Main section, you will find the Product number or Product ID. Post that in your next reply in your thread.
Method #3: Press the power button and immediately tap the F2 key.
Method #4: If powering on is not an option, take a look at the bottom of the laptop for the label with the product name and product number. For a desktop look at the rear for the label.
If your laptop has HP Hardware Diagnostics UEFI version 10.3.0.0, there is a System Information section that also has the Product ID.
We need that information, along with the installed Operating System information to help you.

My laptop's product number is 19H04PC#AB2 from the method 1 you have mentioned above. I am running on windows 10 22H2 build 19045.4474.
I actually have the laptop linked to my hp account for this query. I have seen in the spec sheet it is supposed to have an infineon TPM chip, but it does not show up in my bios for enablement options.

Actually, the AMD Ryzen 5 4500U processor of your notebook has AMD fTPM.
Take a look in the BIOS for fTPM and enable it.
"I have seen in the spec sheet it is supposed to have an infineon TPM chip" .
What specification sheet are you referring to?

To answer your question, I'm using this specs from hp as my spec sheet: HP ProBook 455 G7 Notebook PC specifications | HP® Support
For better reference let me just attach a photo of the Bios page with security options where TPM/fTPM is supposed to be.
Also, I had tried to downgrade the bios before to like a couple old versions and some newer versions too but that did not solve my issue.

OK.
I see Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 2.0 (Infineon SLB9670) in the security section.
The specification sheets can be inaccurate.
Have you tried upgrading to Windows 11?
A clean install should work.
The Windows 11 drivers are available at the hyperlink below.

OK.
You should consider a clean install.
Your laptop is compatible with Windows 11 all the way up to the current 24H2 build.

See my major issue is actually the TPM missing, I did do a clean windows 11 install (after bypassing the TPM requirement using rufus) just to see whether that would fix the issue and then I run into my issue whereby when I try to run one of my software that is licensed, I got the message that my pc is missing tpm 2.0 and I would need to enable it or downgrade to windows 10 to be able to use the software.
Now I searched the internet for a similar situation and found that Valorant (pc game) also has the same error when people try to run it on windows 11 without TPM 2.0. And thus, here I am asking for further assistance

Unfortunately, it would seem that the BIOS update did you a disservice.
The only workaround I am aware of would be replacing the current BIOS chip with one preprogrammed with an older BIOS.
There must be some way to enable your laptop's processor fTPM, but I am not familiar with it
I wish I had a simple solution to present to you, but I do not.
