HP Laptop 15
Microsoft Windows 11

15g-dr0006TX has TPM and was upgraded sucessfuly. However, in a troubleshoot by HP online advisor, BIOS was updated. Later on I found that warning is coming up at device security. I realized that TPM is missing now.

It is not showingup in bios, or device manager now. Previously it was there. Please help.

Hi @rsyn,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I understand that you are missing TPM. I'd like to help!

Try the following:

Chapter 1, page 4 of the service manual indicates that the model series has a firmware-based Trusted Platform Module (fTPM) 2.0 security device.

There are several posts regarding W11 not recognizing a TPM 2.0 device as a TPM 2.0 device, which is probably why your notebook is failing the W11 TPM hardware check.

HP 15 Laptop PC Maintenance and Service Guide

If your notebook has a TPM 2.0 security device, it will be listed in the device manager under a security devices category.

If you do not see the TPM listed there, check the BIOS to see if there is a setting to enable it.

If there is and it is disabled, you can enable it, save the settings, and then the TPM should be enabled.

If you can't get the TPM to show up and you want to upgrade to W11, you will need to use one of the W11 hardware check bypass methods so you can upgrade to W11.

Please follow the steps mentioned below.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
