Hello, I'm trying to update to Windows 11 and it seems the only requirement that I don't meet is the TPM.

I have HP Pavilion Gaming - 15 -dk0003nq.

I have enabled the TPM from the BIOS but it still doesn't work. (Doesn't show it in tpm.msc either)

Hi:

The most likely reason for the problem is that your notebook must have a firmware based TPM 2.0 security device (fTPM 2.0), and not an actual TPM 2.0 hardware device, or it would be showing up in the device manager under a Security Devices category.

For some reason, W11 does not recognize a fTPM 2.0 device as a TPM 2.0 device, and there is nothing you can do until hopefully enough people have reported this bug to Microsoft so they will fix it.

See my screenshot below for where you should see a TPM 2.0 device...

If you are interested, I can give you two easy ways to bypass the W11 hardware checks so you can run W11 on your PC, and a way to easily go back to W10 after the default 'go back to W10' period expires, in case W11 doesn't work right on your particular PC.

I think it's better to wait until they make an official fix instead of using alternative ways to get it.

What's worrying me is the fact that I contacted Windows Support and they told me that I should talk to the manufacturer of the laptop to get a TPM Hardware device instead.
