Spectre Envy 14
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I have an Spectre Envy14 bought some years ago. The computer works very well, the problem is with the power cord and charger. I noticed the charger box (Travel Adapter) ovearheats tremendously. This power cord structure consists on 3 parts. The first one goes from the wall outlet to the Travel Adapter that came originaly with the product, then this black box is the second part and then the third component is another cable from the Travel Adapter to the computer.

One week ago I went into the HP website to llok something else and I noticed there was a message indicating there was a problem with some power cords. After running the tests and solving the questions, the result was that my original power cord was one of the damaged one and I was elegible for a replacement. This replacement arrived today!!... however I received only the first part of the three (from wall outlet to the Travel Adapter). Unfortunately, the Travel Adapter continues overheating a lot!!!... I am using it right now over a cold surface (stone table) trying to reduce the overheat but I think this is NOT normal. I really expected to receive the 3 components.

Does anyone experience this?, any suggestion to solve it?

Regards!
