Hello
HP Support Assistant shows that the laptop battery requires calibration
3.jpg

I'm trying to test my laptop battery using the HP Hardware Diagnostics utility. But for the unknown reason the utility shows me Canceled, although I did not stop testing.

Screenshot_8.jpg

According to the WEB page https://support.hp.com/lt-en/document/c04700771, I made Calibrate the battery manually in BIOS. After I calibrated the laptop battery as a result again shows me that laptop battery requires calibration (21).
In Windows, the HP Support Assistant still shows me that the battery needs to be calibrated (20). HP Hardware Diagnostics does not perform battery testing, the result is canceled.
What to do next?
At the same time testing the laptop battery by other methods does not find any problem and shows me that the capacity of the laptop battery after 7 months of use is at 100%

It could be an issue with the battery connector on the system board which might have gone faulty. I recommend you to contact the HP Support Team.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Let's uninstall and reinstall the HP Support Assistant:

Go to the "Uninstalling HP Support Assistant" tab: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c03601631

You can install the HP Support Assistant from here: http://www.hp.com/go/hpsupportassistant

Let's run the battery test:

Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.

Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second. When the menu appears, press the F2 key.

On the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI) main menu, click Component Test.

Click the Battery Test.

Click Run.

Let us know what happens.

Thanks for the reply. I have uninstalled and reinstalled HP Support Assistant (and HP Hardware Diagnostics)
The result is the same, it is necessary to calibrate the laptop battery. I've already calibrated it twice before writing on the forum and getting the same result. In Windows, the HP Support Assistant also recommends calibrating my laptop battery.

And HP PC Hardware Diagnostics is still showing me the Canceled message when trying to test my laptop battery.

Let's do windows and BIOS update:

https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c03330139 and do then BIOS update when "Windows starts": https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c00042629

Let me know if this helps.

Hello. I've upgraded Bio to BIOS: F.23-05 / 02/2019. Unfortunately, HP Support Assistant still shows me that I need to calibrate my laptop battery.

Was the battery previously replaced and is it a genuine HP battery?

The laptop was bought in November 2018. It has never been repaired and has all the original components. The battery life of the laptop battery has not changed much since the day I bought it. More works from the battery than the plug. About 5 hours a day I use it.
