Product: HP Laptop PC 15-dy2000 (2D115AV)

Driving me crazy! i am typing along especially in lengthy emails then suddenly all my text gets deleted!  Can't figure out what I am hitting that does this.  CTRL Z doesn't recover deleted text cz I will have already typed more keys. Frustrating  waste of time and effort.  New laptop only a few months old, happens several times/wk!  Easy fix appreciated! don't want to have to uninstall, reload drivers etc TYVM! Fort

Helpful replies in the link below. Seems like the best solution is to make sure you dont touch the touch pad while typing or disabling the touch pad and use an external mouse:
