Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello Team,

The  docking station G5 does not connect with my HP Elitebook 840 G8 laptop,

After checking I noticed that there is no Thunderbolt security level option in the BIOS,

let's compare with a laptop which does not contain the error:

Laptop in error:

Laptop without error:

The part in red which is missing on the laptop which is in error.

Please help me to resolve this problem.

Thank you in advance

Best regards

Hello,

I have the very same problem at workplace, with the very same model of laptop. All of the laptops that I have checked, mirror what you have in your first photo, with the security level option not showing.

Did you find a solution to this? We've tried updating to the latest BIOS version and resetting the BIOS back to factory default, but the security level option still will not show.

Regards,

Richard
