My fan won't shut off. I've shut down and restarted. Everytime the fan comes on and won't turn off.

We need to know the precise model so we can perhaps find the BIOS emulator. There is a "fan always on" option in the BIOS of some models which can be turned off.

No BIOS emulator posted. Check the BIOS tap esc and then F10 for setup and see if you have a fan always on setting.

ESC and F10 didn't do anything. I've had my computer for a few years and this just started so I don't believe an "Always On" setting would be the problem.

If its an older computer its possible that dust has clogged the area around the processor and cooling fan. If you have a can of compressed air, stick a bent-out paperclip in the fan grille to hold the fan blades from spinning out of control and blast in compressed air. If dust flies out it may do some good and return the cooling to proper operation. Also possible it needs to be opened and have the fan cleaned and new cooling compound on the processor.
