Hello, people!

My notebook does not turn on. Blinks 3+2 signal of capslock.

When this problem was occured fist time I took the notebook at service. They did somthing y the problem was gone. But in 2 days after Windows components moderning it was back. Few times while the moderning  I solved it by hard reset (press power button on 15 sec), but after all moderning process it stoped to help.

So, I would like to know is the problem is in the hard of notebook or it is connected with Windows or other soft?

Thank you.

@DmKor,

Thank you for posting your query on HP Community,

This looks like a possible hardware failure, however, let's try these steps here:

Let's start off by performing a bios roll back from this link: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02693833

Please try both the steps mentioned in the link.

If this does not do the trick, please try all the steps from this link: HP Notebook PCs - Computer Does Not Start (Windows 10)

Alternatively, you can also go through this support document: If the LEDs blink, or the computer beeps, but it does not start, go to HP Notebook PCs - Troubleshooting LED Blink Codes or Beep Codes During Startup or Boot

Please try these steps here and let me know how it goes for further assistance!

That said, If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the Accepted Solution andKudos buttons, that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!

Have a great day!

Hello, Jeet_Singh!

Thank you for your answer and for the information.

Before try it I followed by an advice of a man from our local chat and cleaned the contacts of the memory by an eraser. And computer came alive again. Hope that the problem was it. Anyway I am very appreciated you for the help. I will save your instructions for a case. But I do want not to use its 😉

Oh, no. The problem was back. I turned off the computer and turned on. And the signals (3+2) appeared again while trying turn on.

I am trying to recovery the BIOS. Bottoms did not help.

Trying make a recovery drive. The other computer (for drive creating) should been installed the same operating system? W10 in my case.

@DmKor,

The bios downloaded needs to be for your computer's OS, although, it doesn't matter which OS is being used on the other computer.

For more details, here's the link to download the Bios update - Click here

Let me know how it goes for further assistance.

Take care and have a great day!

Cheers 🙂

Unfortunatly, I can not try it because an error appears. BIOS error.JPGTherefore I asked about OS. My fist computer has W10 (with problem), and the second one has XP.

@DmKor,

I see that the BIOS link provided is for Windows 10 that link will not work for XP.

However, you can try downloading the BIOS using this link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers.

Keep me posted.

Have a great day!

Cheers 🙂
