Product: HP Notebook - 17-x115dx
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My battery tends to shut down for no apparent reason.  I'm unsure if there is a recall on the battery or if replacing it would solve the problem.  Can anyone help?

I suggest using the Windows Battery-Report utility that I described in the Knowledge Base article that I wrote a few years ago. That will hep you to make an informed troubleshooting decision as to the reason it is happening.
