Hey everybody,
I hope you can help me out. I just bought my Omen 16 notebook last month. Everything has been great so far until my HP Support Assistant decided that my battery needs calibration, which is fine. However, I've not tried to calibrate the battery three times tonight alone and zip. It refuses to calibrate or simply doesn't registers that I have. When I tried to use the HP Hardware Diagnostics tool to do so instead of the Support Assistant, it simply tells me that it's cancelled the battery test and that it needs to be calibrated.
With the HP Support Assistant telling me that I need to replace the battery if it refuses to calibrate, I'm somewhat at a loss as to whether I need to do so or if this is a bug. More to the point, the notebook is brand new so a battery replacement at this point would be galling.
Does anybody have any ideas? Thanks so much in advance.
